This is a 6 hour course, designed to not only give the theoretical components of medication administration, but practical exercises using example MAR sheets. One hour’s additional training will be given to a member of staff who has attended this course to be able to ‘sign off’ staff as competent.

mental capacity act and dols/LPS
We have designed our 6 hour course to meet needs that most care providers do not know they need. Many providers are not accurately implementing the Mental Capacity Act due to poor training. This course was created to reflect the Mental Capacity Act. This course includes an additional up to 2 hours training to give staff training on how to assess Mental Capacity.
learning disability & autism
From 1 July 2022, all health and social care providers registered with CQC must ensure that their staff receive training in how to interact appropriately with people who have a learning disability and autistic people, at a level appropriate to their role. This new legal requirement is introduced by the Health and Care Act 2022. This course has been designed to meet that need.

Positive behaviour support
This course is designed to give organisations an understanding of what Positive Behaviour Support is, the components of it, how to implement it. It will include an hours consultancy to give advise and recommend additional paperwork (provided) that will be needed. It will include understanding behaviour that challenges.

This course is an external course that can be run by Positive Training. It is a BILD Act approved training. CQC now require organisations who support anyone who displays behaviour that challenges and potentially part of your organisations requirements under the Health and Safety at Work Act. This course can be run as a 1, 2, 3 4 and longer if required and identified by a training needs analysis.

FAA Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health

Learners will know how to recognise and manage stress and understand the impact of substance abuse. They will learn about the first aid action plan for mental health, be able to put it in place and know how to implement a positive mental health culture in the workplace.
FAA Level 3 Award in Supervising First Aid for Mental Health
